This gold commemorative coin with nominal value Dram 50.000, issued by the Central Bank of Armenia, is dedicated to Armenian Armed Forces. Armenian Armed Forces were established on January 28, 1992 by decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia. Since that time January 28 has been celebrating in Armenia as a public holiday. The coin depicts the Order of the Combat Cross of the First Degree and the Emblem of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia. The Order of the Combat Cross is awarded for absolute courage, selflessness and skills in defending the Fatherland.
