Reference Description
Obverse: A traditional Armenian khachkar-inspired geometric pattern is centrally positioned, flanked by two large karases (ancient Armenian wine vessels), symbolizing the region’s deep connection to viticulture and craftsmanship. The inscription at the bottom reads "ԱՇՏԱՐԱԿ" (Ashtarak).
Reverse: Depictions of the Marianeh and Karmravor churches, two of Ashtarak’s most significant medieval architectural monuments. Below, a stylized representation of the Ashtarak Bridge spans the design, symbolizing the town’s historical importance. The inscriptions read "ՄԱՐԻԱՆԵ" and "ԿԱՐՄՐԱՎՈՐ", naming the churches.
