Obverse: A right-facing portrait of Hovhannes Tumanyan, the esteemed Armenian writer and poet, depicted with his characteristic mustache and beard. His name, "Թումանյան," appears in Armenian along the left curve, with "100" inscribed beside it, marking the centenary of his birth.
Reverse: A detailed relief scene inspired by Tumanyan’s literary works, depicting a traditional Armenian gathering. Several men, dressed in period attire, are seated on the ground under a tree, engaged in conversation and drinking wine from traditional Armenian vessels.
