Obverse: A detailed bust of General Alexander Suvorov in classical Roman-style armor, adorned with a plumed helmet and laurel wreath, symbolizing his military genius and victories. The surrounding inscription reads "G. SUWAROW AMOR ITALIÆ", meaning "General Suvorov, the Beloved of Italy."

Reverse: A dramatic scene of Suvorov, mounted on a rearing horse, striking down a lion—a representation of his triumph over French forces. Above, the inscription "GALLORUM TERROR", meaning "Terror of the French," highlights his fearsome reputation. In the exergue, "JETTON 1799" marks the date of the campaign.

Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov (1729–1800) is one of the most celebrated military commanders in history, known for his undefeated record in battle and brilliant campaigns, including his famous crossing of the Swiss Alps during the War of the Second Coalition in 1799. Suvorov, an ethnic Armenian on his mother’s side, is particularly noteworthy in Armenian heritage due to this lineage. His mother, Avdotya Manukova, came from an Armenian noble family, linking Suvorov to the Armenian diaspora in Russia. The Swiss campaign is considered one of the most daring military maneuvers in European history, as Suvorov led his troops through treacherous mountain passes against overwhelming odds. This coin honors his remarkable achievements and lasting legacy.
