Obverse: Depicts the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building in Republic Square, Yerevan, with its prominent clock tower. Above the building, the Armenian SSR flag is shown, and to the right, a rosette motif is included against a textured background.
Reverse: Carries the inscription "50 ЛЕТ ЧК-КГБ АРМЕНИИ" ("50 Years of the Cheka-KGB of Armenia"). This inscription commemorates the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Soviet security services in Armenia.
