Reference Description

Obverse: Two stylized peacocks in symmetrical profile, facing inward, perched on a curvilinear floral base. Between them rises a vertically centered ornamental tree composed of three tiered clusters, reminiscent of Armenian medieval decorative art and manuscript illumination. A small five-pointed star appears at the base, beneath the central floral motif.

Reverse: At the center is the emblem of Kirovakan (now Vanadzor), enclosed within a shield; the emblem features a stylized grape cluster beneath an arched motif, symbolizing local industry and cultural identity, with the city’s name ԿԻՐՈՎԱԿԱՆ inscribed directly below. Encircling the emblem are the Armenian inscriptions: ՔԱՂԱՔԱՅԻՆ ԽՈՐՀՐԴԻ ԶԱԳՍ / ԿԻՐՈՎԱԿԱՆ / ԱՐԾԱԹԵ ՊՍԱԿ, which translate to Civil Registry Office of the City Council / Kirovakan / Silver Jubilee.
