Libra is associated with Themis, who, according to Greek mythology, is a goddess of justice, legitimacy and prediction. One of the Themis’s attributes of justice is a pair of scales symbolizing balance of law.
By some assumptions Libra has been considered as a separate constellation since the times of the Romans.
The astrological period called Libra takes the period from September 24 to October 23.
