Reference Description

Obverse: Armenian Opera and Ballet Theatre in Yerevan, an iconic architectural landmark of Soviet Armenia. The detailed relief showcases the building’s grand neoclassical facade with its characteristic arched colonnade and multiple tiers of windows.

Reverse: The emblem of the Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic, featuring Mount Ararat with the rising sun, a hammer and sickle inside a star, and a wreath of wheat and grapes. The surrounding inscription reads "Հայկական Սոցիալիստական Խորհրդային Հանրապետություն" (Armenian Socialist Soviet Republic). At the bottom, the number "50" commemorates the fiftieth anniversary of the republic’s establishment in 1920.
