TLKATINTSI (Hovhannes Harutiunyan, 1860-1915) is a renowned Armenian pedagogue, writer and public figure. Tlkatintsi graduated from the Smbatyan College of Kharberd. In 1887, he founded the Kharberd National Central School and was its headmaster until his death. Short stories by TIkatintsi describe the tragic life of the Armenian people in rural areas, how they are exposed to atrocities of the Turkish authorities, as well as portray helpless people, orphans. He also authored plays and poems.
A victim of the Armenian Genocide in 1915: martyred with his family by Turkish slaughterers.
