Reference Description
Obverse: A victorious Russian warrior, clad in armor, holding a drawn sword in his right hand and a banner adorned with the double-headed eagle in his left. He stands triumphantly before the walls of Adrianople, symbolizing the city's surrender. The inscription reads "HADRIANOPOL. VICTR. RVSSOR. COPIIS DEDITA" (Adrianople, Conquered by the Victorious Russian Forces). In the exergue: "D. 8. AVG. ST. V. 1829" (August 8, 1829).
Reverse: A depiction of the peace agreement between Russia and the Ottoman Empire. A Russian officer in ceremonial attire extends an olive branch to an Ottoman dignitary, symbolizing the treaty. Behind them, Russian and Ottoman banners wave, with a shield bearing a crescent resting beside the Ottoman figure. The city of Adrianople (Edirne), with its mosques and minarets, is visible in the background. The inscription reads "PAX DATA TURCIS PETENTIBUS" (Peace Granted to the Turks Who Asked for It). In the exergue: "HADRIANOP. D. II. SEPT. ST. V MDCCCXXIX" (Adrianople, September 2, 1829).
