Artabanus c.202 BC ? (Kov 21)
Description
This king is known only from a unique bronze coin in the Paris cabinet. He is associated with Abdissares and Xerxes by his use of the same headdress, and by his continuation of the seated Athena type of Xerxes (Kov. #19). The name is incomplete, but personal inspection by this author confirms the reading ...ABANO[Y], suggesting the name Artabanus.
