Reference Description
The key image in the composition for Dragon carpets is a stylized geometric sign of a dragon consisting of Տ-shaped symmetric patterns. The pairs of dragons differ from one another by dark and light colors and are presented in mirror reflection. Between the pairs of the dragons is the tree of life decorated with hooked tips. The floral patterns are united by wide bands forming the angles.
The border of this carpet is decorated with the chains of floral and geometric patterns.
The Dragon Carpet woven in the 17th century in Artsakh region is kept in the History Museum of Armenia (HMA collection № 11699-10).

Reverse: the Dragon Carpet, the 17th century, Artsakh region.
