Reference Description
The coin is dedicated to the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia. The Kingdom went through two periods of development: the Principality (1080-1198) and the Kingdom (1198-1375). “Kingdom of Cilicia” is included in “Armenian Statehood” series of coins. The series includes also the coins “National Assembly Building”, “Artashesian Kingdom”, “Arshakuni Kingdom” and “Bagratuni Kingdom”.
Obverse: the coat of arms of the Republic of Armenia.
Reverse: a fragment from the coat of arms of the Republic of Armenia - a part of the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Cilicia, showing the lion that holds the cross in his pad; there are nine starlets to the left and seven to the right of the image.
