This silver commemorative coin with nominal value Dram 100, issued by the Central Bank of Armenia, is dedicated to Michel Platini. The coin has been issued under the International Numismatic Program “The Kings of Football”.
Michel Platini (born 21 June, 1955) is a French football player. In 1972 he signed the first contract with the French football club “Nancy”. Platini also played for “Saint-Etienne”, “Juventus”, “Arsenal”, “Inter”, “Barcelona” and other popular clubs. In 1984 he won the European Cup. By versions of the “France Football” publication he was one of the best football players of the 20-th century. Platini is the only football player who has received the “Gold ball” award 3 years in a row (in 1983, 1984 and 1985).
Platini was selected as president of UEFA on 26 January, 2007. FIFA included him in the list of 100 best-ever football players.
