Notes
In 1991, a medal was issued to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the heroic battle of Musa Ler, a mountain in western Armenia. The battle took place during the Armenian Genocide in 1915, when Armenian villagers and militia defended themselves against Ottoman forces. Despite being outnumbered and outgunned, the Armenians fought valiantly and held off the Ottoman forces for over a month. The medal serves as a reminder of the bravery and resilience of the Armenian people during one of the darkest periods of their history.
