AE Follis

Obverse: Bust of Christ three‑quarter right, wearing a tunic and mantle beneath a plain cross‑nimbus. To either side of the shoulders are the Armenian letters ՅՍ – ՔՍ, an abbreviation of Յիսուս Քրիստոս (“Jesus Christ”).

Reverse: Central field of five lines of angular Armenian script reading:

ՆԷ ԿՈՐԻԿ
ԷԻ ԿՈՐԱ
ՊԱՂԱ
ՏԻՆ
(“May the Lord aid Kiurike the Kouropalates”). The legend is contained within a dotted circle.
