Surb Hreshdagabet, also known as The Working Church of the Armenians, is an Armenian Apostolic church located in the Haskoy district of Istanbul, Turkey. The church was built in 1835 by the Armenian architect Krikor Amira Balyan, who was a member of the renowned Balyan family of architects that served the Ottoman sultans.
Surb Hreshdagabet was built to serve as a center for Armenian artisans and craftsmen, who had settled in the Haskoy district of Istanbul. The church was designed to be a functional space, with a large open hall that could be used for both religious and secular activities.
