Kadi Koy - St. Basil or Surb Vosgi Church

The Kadi Koy St. Basil Church, also known as Surp Vosgi, is a historic Armenian church located in Kadi Koy, Istanbul, Turkey. It was built in the 18th century, during the Ottoman era, by the local Armenian community. The church has a unique octagonal dome, which is uncommon in traditional Armenian church architecture.

The church has undergone several renovations and restorations over the years, including significant repairs after the 1999 earthquake in Istanbul. It is known for its intricate stone carvings and ornate decorations, including Armenian calligraphy and floral motifs. The interior of the church is decorated with frescoes and religious paintings, and it houses a notable collection of Armenian religious artifacts and manuscripts, including a 16th-century Gospel book.
