The coin is dedicated to the Bagratuni Kingdom (885-1045). The founder of Bagratuni Kingdom is Ashot A. “Bagratuni Kingdom” collector coin is included in “Armenian Statehood” series of coins. The series includes also the coins “National Assembly Building”, “Artashesian Kingdom”, “Arshakuni Kingdom” and “Kingdom of Cilicia”.
Obverse: the coat of arms of the Republic of Armenia.
Reverse: a fragment from the coat of arms of the Republic of Armenia - a part of the coat of arms of the Bagratuni Kingdom, which depicts a lion that carries a cross on the back; there are seven starlets beneath the image.
