The coin is dedicated to the 5th anniversary of introduction of the national currency in Armenia, the Dram.
Armenian national currency was put into circulation on November 22, 1993 based on Resolution No. 15, dated November 19, 1993, of the Armenian State Commission on Regulation of Money Circulation.
Obverse: the coat of arms of the Republic of Armenia.
Reverse: Armenian banknotes of 1993 series with nominal value ranging from 10 to 500 dram and ornament in the form of the sign of eternity.

Minted in the Royal Dutch Mint.
