Notes
In 1983, a commemorative medal was produced to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the birth of Aram Khachaturian, the esteemed Armenian composer whose works have become emblematic of Armenian and Soviet music. Born on June 6, 1903, Khachaturian's compositions such as the "Sabre Dance" from the ballet "Gayane" and the "Adagio of Spartacus and Phrygia" from "Spartacus" resonate with vibrant orchestral energy and have earned him an international reputation. The creation of the medal not only acknowledged his individual genius but also marked the influence of his music, which has woven the cultural fabric of Armenia with threads of modern and traditional motifs.
