Born in Paris in 1924 to an Armenian immigrant family, Aznavour’s career spanned several decades, during which he became renowned for his deep, emotive voice and poignant lyrics. With over 1,000 songs to his name, including classics like “La Bohème” and “She,” and roles in more than 90 films, Aznavour’s influence transcended borders, earning him accolades and admiration worldwide. His commitment to Armenia, particularly after the 1988 Spitak earthquake, showcased his deep connection to his heritage, culminating in the founding of the Aznavour Foundation aimed at supporting educational, social, and cultural programs in Armenia.
