Reference Description
Obverse: A left-facing bust of Stepan Shahumyan, depicted with a strong, determined expression. His name "Ս. ՇԱՀՈՒՄՅԱՆ" (S. Shahumyan) is inscribed along the left edge, while the years "1878-1918" mark his birth and death.
Reverse: A composition of five torches with flames rising, symbolizing revolution and struggle. The inscription reads: "ՄԵԾ ՀԵՂԱՓՈԽՈՒԹՅԱՆ ԱՍՊԵՏ ԲԱՔՎԻ ԿՈՄՈՒՆԱԻ ՂԵԿԱՎԱՐ ԵՎ ՀԵՐՈՍ" (Knight of the Great Revolution, Leader and Hero of the Baku Commune).
