This “Tanacetum zangezuricum” (Chamomile) silver collector coin has been issued by the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia as part of the international coin program “The Beauty of Flowers”.
Tanacetum zangezuricum is a perennial plant. It has a large footstock of 10-20 cm height with a basket on the top. Its lateral, one-rowed flowers are white while tubular, quadri-dentate flowers in the center are yellow. Tanacetum zangezuricum blooms in June-July, on rocky slopes and stony places 2500-3600 m above sea level. In Armenia it is met in Zangezur and Meghri regions.
