Reference Description
Sanahin is a monastery complex which is located in Alaverdy town of Lori Province. It was an important spiritual, cultural and educational center in 10-13 centuries. The complex includes the churches of the Mother of God and All-Savior, three church porches, a script-house, a bell-tower, an academy and the St Gregory chapel. In 2001 the Sanahin complex was included in the UNESCO world heritage list.
