Reference Description
Obverse: Equestrian statue of David of Sasun, a legendary Armenian epic hero, located in Yerevan. The statue was sculpted by Yervand Kochar and unveiled in 1959. Below the statue, the text "ЕРЕВАН" (Yerevan) is inscribed, alongside the year "1959," which marks the statue's unveiling. The inscription "ПАМЯТНИК ДАВИДУ САСУНСКОМУ" (Monument to David of Sasun) is engraved in an arc around the top.
