Reference Description

Obverse: The profile of Tigran the Great, taken from the obverse of the same silver coin issued during his reign. Tigran is shown wearing a crown, symbolizing his power and authority as the King of the Armenian Artashesian dynasty. The Armenian inscription reads: "Տիգրան Մեծ" ("Tigran the Great"), and the English equivalent "TIGRAN THE GREAT" is also included.
