Aquarius is the eleventh sign of the zodiac situated between Capricorn and Pisces. The word is translated from Latin as water or cup bearer. It is usually depicted as a man with a bucket from which a stream is pouring. The best-known myth identifies Aquarius with Ganymede, a beautiful youth with whom Zeus fell in love and in the disguise of an eagle carried off to the mountain Olympus to be a cup bearer to the gods.
The astrological period called Aquarius takes the period from January 20 to February 18.
