Reference Description

Obverse: Profile bust of Emperor Alexander II, facing left, with a mustache and sideburns. Around the portrait, the inscription reads: "Б. М. АЛЕКСАНДРЪ II ИМПЕРАТОРЪ И САМОДЕРЖЕЦЪ ВСЕРОС." (By the Grace of God, Alexander II, Emperor and Autocrat of All Russia). Below the bust, the engraver's name: "В . АЛЕКСѢЕВЪ P ." (V. Alexeev fecit).

Reverse: Inscription in six lines: "ОТЪ ЛАЗАРЕВСКАГО ИНСТИТУТА ВОСТОЧНЫХЪ ЯЗЫКОВЪ ЗА БЛАГОНРАВIЕ И УСПЂХИ." (From the Lazarev Institute of Oriental Languages for Good Conduct and Achievements).
