Restoration of the title "King of Kings" along with some former territories.
AE 4 chalkoi, year Δ (ΛΔ?) = 34 = 63/62 BC
Obv. Bust of Tigranes II right, draped, wearing tiara decorated with star between two eagles and tied with a diadem, A behind bust.
Rev. Nike advancing left, holding wreath, on right downward ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ, on left downward TIΓPANOY, in outer left field Δ (ΛΔ?).
The suggestion that the year date is in monogram form is plausible, but not entirely satisfying. The alternative, that this is year 4, however, is impossible on stylistic grounds for Tigranes II; and for Tigranes the Younger because it would predate the use of "A" on the obverse dies.
