Reference Description

Obverse: Depiction of Leninakan (now Gyumri), with the sun rising behind Mount Ararat, symbolizing the city's growth and prosperity. Key landmarks are illustrated, including the statue of Lenin, the city clock tower, and significant buildings, all set against a background of radiating sun rays. The Armenian inscription at the top reads "ԼԵՆԻՆԱԿԱՆ" (Leninakan).

Reverse: Dominated by the large inscription "60 ЛЕТ" (60 Years), marking the anniversary. Surrounding this central element are additional symbols of Leninakan, including architectural features and a stylized representation of an Armenian hunting dog, emphasizing the city's historical significance. The years 1924 - 1984 are inscribed, flanking the title "ЛЕНИНАКАН" at the top. Laurel branches frame the composition, symbolizing honor and commemoration.
