Reference Description

Obverse: Facade of the Matenadaran in Yerevan, Armenia, with its grand entrance and monumental staircase. Below, the statue of Mesrop Mashtots, the creator of the Armenian alphabet, is shown seated, instructing his disciple Koryun. The inscriptions read "Մատենադարան Երևան" (Matenadaran Yerevan) and "Մ. Մաշտոց" (M. Mashtots).

Reverse: A stylized image of a medieval Armenian scribe, seated in an arched niche, writing in a manuscript. The surrounding inscription lists prominent Armenian scholars, theologians, and historians:
