Reference Description
Obverse: Finely detailed portrait of Hovhannes Tumanyan, one of Armenia’s greatest poets and writers. His name, ՅՈՎՀԱՆՆԷՍ ԹՈՒՄԱՆԵԱՆ, is inscribed in Armenian script along the border.
Reverse: Picturesque scene of Mount Ararat, a symbolic and sacred mountain in Armenian culture. A small group of travelers and animals is shown at the base of the mountain, emphasizing Armenia's pastoral and historical identity. To the right, a traditional Armenian church complements the composition. Below the scene is the inscription ԵՍ ԻՄ ՄԱՍԻՍ ՍԱՐՆ ԵՄ ՍԻՐՈՒՄ ("I love my Masis mountain"), a line from a poem by Armenian poet Hovhannes Shiraz.
