Reference Description

Obverse: Depiction of the David of Sassoun statue, an iconic monument dedicated to the legendary Armenian epic hero. The equestrian figure of David is shown mid-gallop, holding his powerful sword aloft, symbolizing strength and resistance. The inscription "ԵՐԵՒԱՆ" (Yerevan) appears at the bottom, indicating the location of the statue in Armenia’s capital.

Reverse: The emblem of the Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic, prominently featuring Mount Ararat with the rising sun, a hammer and sickle inside a star, and a wreath of wheat and grapes, symbolizing the republic’s agricultural and industrial prosperity. The surrounding inscription reads "Հայկական Սոցիալիստական Խորհրդային Հանրապետություն" (Armenian Socialist Soviet Republic). The number "50" at the bottom marks the fiftieth anniversary of the republic’s establishment in 1920.
