Reference Description
This silver commemorative coin depicting Toad Agama has been issued by the Central Bank of Armenia under the International Program “Wild World of Caucasus”. The Program includes animals that are protected under the Red Book of Armenia.
The number of Toad Agama in nature has rapidly decreased. Around 200-250 species have been preserved in the sands of Ararat region, and up to 300 – in the environs of Armavir region. Toad Agama can not be kept or reproduced in captivity.
For preservation of this species the places of its settlement have been included into the domain of the Khosrov reserve.

Minted in the Mint of Poland.
