Reference Description

The “Crocus adamii” silver collector coin has been issued by the Central Bank of Armenia as part of the international coin program “The Beauty of Flowers”.
Crocus has a small corm with leathery tunics. Flowers are pale to dark lilac, 3-5 cm across and with yellow-orange throat. Leaves appear during blooming time.
Crocus blooms from February to May, on stony or grassy slopes, bushes and open juniper forests at 1000-2900 m. It is common in Central and South Armenia and Artsakh.
The coin issued with colored inks. Designed by Eduard Kurghinyan. Minted in the Mayer Mint, Germany.
