Reference Description

Obverse: A scene depicting the submission of Persian envoys to Russian warriors. Two Russian soldiers stand on the right, one holding a spear and a shield featuring the imperial double-headed eagle. On the left, two Persian elders, accompanied by a Persian warrior, bow their heads in submission, hands crossed over their chests. In the background, a shield bearing the lion and sun emblem of Persia is visible. Scattered weapons and a fallen banner lie at the feet of the Russian soldier. Inscription: "ЗАНЯТIЕ ТАВРИЗА" (Occupation of Tabriz). Below: "СЪ МОДЕЛИ ГРАФА ѲЕОДОРА ТОЛСТАГО | РѢЗАЛЪ А. КЛЕПИКОВЪ 1839 | 1827."

Reverse: The Russian double-headed eagle with outstretched wings, crowned with three imperial crowns. On its chest, a shield depicting Saint George slaying the dragon, encircled by the Order of St. Andrew’s chain. The eagle holds a scepter and an orb, surrounded by a laurel wreath. Below, the engraver’s signature: "Р. А. КЛЕПИКОВЪ 1837."
