Reference Description

Obverse: A victorious warrior, clad in armor and helmet, stands atop a battlefield, holding a sword in one hand and a banner in the other. Behind him, fortress walls with fallen enemy soldiers, scattered weapons, and a discarded crescent-adorned shield symbolize the defeat of the Ottoman forces. Inscription: "ВЗЯТIЕ КАРСА" (Capture of Kars). Below: "СЪ МОДЕЛИ ГРАФА ѲЕОДОРА ТОЛСТАГО | РѢЗАЛЪ А. КЛЕПИКОВЪ 1839 | 1828."

Reverse: The Russian double-headed eagle with outstretched wings, crowned with three imperial crowns. On its chest, a shield depicting Saint George slaying the dragon, encircled by the Order of St. Andrew’s chain. The eagle holds a scepter and an orb, surrounded by a laurel wreath. Below, the engraver’s signature: "Р. А. КЛЕПИКОВЪ 1837."
