Reference Description

Obverse: A Russian warrior, wearing a helmet and chainmail, advances toward the fortress walls, stepping over the fallen body of an Ottoman soldier. He wields a shield and raises his sword, leading the charge. Above the fortress walls, defending soldiers and a Turkish flag are visible. To the left, Ottoman soldiers flee, while on the ground to the right, abandoned enemy weapons, banners, and a shield bearing a crescent and star lie scattered. Inscription: "СРАЖЕНIЕ ПОДЪ АХАЛЦЫХОМЪ И ШТУРМЪ СЕЙ КРѢПОСТИ" (Battle of Akhaltsikhe and Storming of its Fortress). Below: "СЪ МОДЕЛИ ГРАФА ѲЕОДОРА ТОЛСТАГО | РѢЗАЛЪ А . КЛЕПИКОВЪ 1839 . | 1828."

Reverse: The Russian double-headed eagle with outstretched wings, crowned with three imperial crowns. On its chest, a shield depicting Saint George slaying the dragon, encircled by the Order of St. Andrew’s chain. The eagle holds a scepter and an orb, surrounded by a laurel wreath. Below, the engraver’s signature: "Р. А. КЛЕПИКОВЪ 1837."
