SIAMANTO (Atom Yarjanian, 1878-1915) is a great Armenian poet. He received education in Constantinople. Attended the Sorbonne University as a member of audience. An incredibly original figure in Armenian poetry, Siamanto wrote a lot of works describing the horrifying tragedy of the Armenian people were subjected to torture by Turkish barbarians. Through a series of letters to the Armenian refugees, Siamanto put forward the ideas of the national consolidation and the call of homeland. Siamanto developed a free verse in the Armenian poetry and enriched the national poetic language A victim of the Armenian Genocide in 1915: martyred during deportation, on the road to Chankiri, Turkey.
