Reverse: The emblem of the Armenian SSR, consisting of Mount Ararat, the rising sun, and a star, symbolizing Soviet Armenia’s connection to the Soviet Union. The surrounding inscription reads "ԽՈՐՀՐԴԱՅԻՆ ՍՈՑԻԱԼԻՍՏԱԿԱՆ ՀԱՆՐԱՊԵՏՈՒԹՅՈՒՆ" (Soviet Socialist Republic), and at the bottom, "50", marking the 50th anniversary of Soviet Armenia.
