This silver commemorative coin with nominal value Dram 100, issued by the Central Bank of Armenia, is dedicated to Johan Cruyff. The coin has been issued under the International Program “The Kings of Football”.
Johan Cruyff (born 25 April, 1947) is a Dutch football player, the most popular representative of the “Total Football” playing style. In 1964-1973 he played for “Ajax” (Netherlands), then for “Barcelona” (Spain) and other football clubs. Nine times he was named Dutch Championship winner and three times European Footballer of the Year. Cruyff is a winner of three European Cups (1971-1973). After retiring from playing he started his coaching career with “Ajax” and “Barcelona” (1985-1996) and got numerous awards.
Cruyff is the second World Player of the Century behind Pele.
