Fridtjof Nansen - Norwegian famous polar explorer, humanist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate is one of the friends of the Armenian people.
In 1920s, Nansen was involved in activities to support Armenians. In 1925, Fridtjof Nansen, as a High Commissioner for Refugees of the League of Nations, arrived in Armenia and began studying the question of the repatriation of Armenian refugees, victims of the Armenian Genocide, got "Nansen Passports". Fridtjof Nansen had numerous publications, speeches around the question helping Armenians and due to his financial support the repatriation for about 7,000 Armenian refugees to the Soviet Armenia.
