Reference Description
Obverse: Laureate bust of Emperor Nicholas I facing right, with the inscription "NICOLAUS I TOTIUS RUSSIAE IMPERATOR" encircling the edge. Below the bust, the engraver's signature reads "G. LOOS DIR. H. GUBE FEC."
Reverse: A symbolic representation of the Treaty of Adrianople, depicting a Russian military figure, clad in an elaborate uniform with a plumed helmet, extending an olive branch to a Turkish dignitary, who holds a lowered shield adorned with a crescent moon. Russian flags bearing the double-headed eagle are displayed in the background. The upper inscription reads "PAX DATA TURCIS PETENTIBUS," meaning "Peace granted to the supplicant Turks." The exergue is inscribed "HADRIANOP. D. II. SEPT. ST. V MDCCCXXIX," marking the date and place of the treaty’s signing.
